To kick off MOM22, we teamed up with the NoBo Art District and StreetWise Arts  to bring you The Creative City – a high-energy, vibrant exhibition celebrating all things Boulder. Designers and artists were invited to create 24×48” boards, each inspired by the theme: DESIGN FOR CHANGE. The exhibition was part of NoBo’s First Friday art walk on 9/2/2022, where we transformed the Art District into a hub of creativity and excitement. Think art, local food vendors, live music, and family-friendly activities – all in a socially-distanced, indoor/outdoor setting! The fun didn’t stop there! The exhibit was also on display at The Dairy during our Month of Modern, powered by Pecha Kucha event.

Attendees got a chance to vote for their favorite board, and one lucky artist won the People’s Choice Award, designed and presented by Todd Reed, announced at the Month of Modern Wrap Party on September 29, 2022. And here’s the twist: the boards were turned into Cornhole Sets and auctioned off at the Wrap Party, with all proceeds benefiting our amazing nonprofit partners. A night full of creativity, community, and fun – what’s not to love?
