Imagining the Future: The Impact of AI on Architecture

We partnered with UTSoA professors Kory Bieg, Daniel Koehler, and Clay Odom to present Architecture After AI – an exhibition that explored the potential of artificial intelligence platforms to revolutionize the field of architecture, from the way buildings were designed to the conception of new forms and structures that were previously unimaginable..

A Playful Exploration of AI-Generated Architecture

The exhibit featured around 2,000 AI-generated text-to-image pictures from about 60 architecture academics and practitioners worldwide. These images were displayed as automatically scrolling slideshows on the walls of the Bus Stop Gallery. Each image appeared for a few seconds before the next one replaced it, highlighting the vast number of images people could create with these models.

Complementing the “Architecture After AI” exhibition, we were joined by the UTSoA professors to explore how artificial intelligence has the potential to revolutionize the field of design. Attendees discovered how AI is transforming the way buildings are conceived, designed, and realized, ushering in new forms and structures.

To make the evening even more enjoyable, we teamed up with POOLBOY for a cocktail mixology experience! Participants learned to create three seasonal cocktails (with no-alcohol options available) that they sipped on throughout the event, and they got to keep the recipes to try out at home.

As the night unfolded, guests joined a lively and provocative debate about AI, hosted by Adam Wagoner from the Podcast Architect-ing. The combination of insightful discussions and delicious drinks made for an unforgettable evening!
