Month of Modern turned movie night into a design celebration with Sitting Still, a visually rich documentary exploring the life and legacy of legendary landscape architect Laurie Olin. Guests grabbed cold beer, chardonnay, and popcorn, settling in to see how Olin’s work reminds us how public spaces shape human experience—and how design can create connections between people and place.

Following the screening, attendees stayed for a lively talkback hosted by Ransom Beegles of R Design Landscape Architecture. Ransom led the conversation, shared how Olin’s philosophy intersects with his own approach, and invited reflections and questions from the audience.
